Kintsugi Repair Workshop - September 20th 14:00-16:00

Experience modern Kintsugi with artist Alice Hsiao. Repair broken ceramics using the Japanese gold repairing techniques in this meditative workshop celebrating imperfection and craftsmanship.

Enjoy cold brew Taiwanese tea as you work mindfully to transform damage into beauty. Leave with your restored piece and a deeper connection to this timeless art.

All tools and materials are provided, including a ceramic piece for practice. You’re also welcome to bring 1 of your own small piece to repair (ideally broken into 2–3 fragments, max 16 cm wide × 7 cm high).

While traditional Kintsugi uses time-consuming Urushi lacquer, this workshop uses modern epoxy glue and gold powder so you can finish your piece in one session. Please note that repaired items are for decorative use only and are not suitable for food.
